Privacy Statement

Three commitments sit underneath everything else on this page:

• Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit
• Your data is never sold
• Your data is never shared with advertisers

Stretched exists to show you what things cost in hours of your life. Your financial answers are the most personal thing you give us, and we treat them that way.

• Account data: your email address and display name, provided when you sign up with email or a sign-in provider such as Google
• Your answers: the story entries and numbers you save, plus preferences like your currency and language
• Technical data: device and browser information and crash reports, used only to keep the service secure and working

• No advertising and no advertising trackers, anywhere
• No selling or renting of personal data — see Do Not Sell or Share
• No tracking you across other websites or apps
• No asking for your bank credentials — Stretched never connects to your accounts

Everything you store is encrypted at rest on our infrastructure and in transit to your devices. You can additionally protect your answers with your own encryption password — then your entries are encrypted on your device before they are saved, and only you can unlock them. We cannot read data protected this way, and we cannot recover it if the password is lost.

Trying Stretched as a guest sends nothing to our servers. Guest answers live only in your device's memory and are erased the moment the app is closed or reloaded. We collect nothing about guests — there is no account, so there is nothing to collect.

Stretched runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting, and crash reporting) and uses Resend to deliver transactional email. These providers process data only on our behalf and only to operate the service — none of them may use your data for their own purposes.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
